A FAMILY is celebrating the latest addition to their family - the fifth generation of girls.
Little Ruby-Jane Turner, who is two weeks old, was born to 18-year-old Emma-Jane Turner of Kirkby Gardens, Elbury Mount, Worcester, at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital on January 6.
Grandmother Della Potter, aged 39, said her birth had made them all very proud and even closer as a family.
"Emma-Jane knew from a scan that she would be having a girl but we were warned they could be wrong. When she was born it was all very emotional."
Mrs Potter was at the birth of her grandchild, just as her mother Avril Turner, aged 67 of Bransford Road, St John's, Worcester, had been at hers.
Great-great grandmother Dorothy Barrow, aged 93, of Bloomfield Road, St John's, is also delighted.
"She just thinks Ruby-Jane is gorgeous and she has told all her friends she is so proud." said Mrs Potter. Ruby-Jane's dad Paul Tarry was also at the birth.
