BUS users are to have the chance to meet the people responsible for providing their local bus services.

Bus Users UK will be holding a Bus Users Surgery on board a First bus in Angel Place, Worcester, on Friday from 10am until 3pm.

Passengers don't need to make an appointment but can turn up, hop on, and meet the people who provide the city's bus services.

Representatives from First and Worcestershire County County will be on hand to answer queries and take comments, suggestions and complaints.

Everyone will receive a written response to the points they raise, if required.

Bus Users UK operations officer Phil Tonks said: "It is important that users of buses in Worcester and the surrounding areas can meet and chat to the people who provide the local bus service.

"Some people aren't keen on a formal meeting, so we hope that this kind of event will encourage individuals to have their say on their bus services whilst they are out and about in the city."

Councillor Derek Prodger, Worcestershire County Council's cabinet member for environment, said: "The public's views will play a major part in helping us to shape future provision."
