ECO-friendly art work by Worcester school children has gone on display at the Pump House Environment Centre.
Pupils from Claines CE Primary School took part in a competition at the end of 2007 to create a shoe out of recycled materials.
The competition was the inspiration of a local parent, who invited the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust's project manager, Roisin Hanks, to judge the shoes.
The first prize was awarded to Aleea Hill for her cleaning shoe' made using dusters and other materials from the trust's Worcestershire Resource Exchange Project.
Roisin Hanks said: "The standard of the entries was very high and included some inspired designs. It was very difficult to judge but I particularly liked the use of materials and technological ideas in Aleea's design."
After having been displayed in school, a selection of the entries, including the cleaning shoe', have gone on display in the café area at the Pump House Environment Centre.
Mrs Hanks said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for the public to see just what can be created from recycled materials and will hopefully inspire many other budding creators."
The Pump House Environment Centre is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and houses a permanent display with information on green technologies, a Fair Trade café and eco shop.
The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust works closely with schools at the centre helping youngsters study natural environments.
