CHILDREN from four Worcester city primary schools have started practising for the London 2012 Olympics About 120 children, aged six and seven, from Northwick Manor Infants, Claines Primary, St George's Primary and St Barnabas Primary schools took part in a big gymnastics coaching event at Bishop Perowne High School.
Young leaders from Year 10 at the school coached the children in several basic skills and gave them a demonstration of their own gymnastic prowess.
The event is one of many sporting events being organised for primary school children through the Droitwich and Worcester City School Sport Partnership aimed at getting more youngsters involved in sport. The event was supported by the British Gymnastics Association.
