A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a BMW smashed into a house.
The black BMW X6 crashed into a house on Bromwich Road, St John's, last night (Sunday, December 19) at 10.40pm.
Several passengers in the car suffered injuries with three attending hospital for serious injuries and one is still in critical condition
The 30-year-old driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and he remains in police custody
There has been damage to both the property and vehicles in the property’s driveway however no-one in the house was hurt.

Investigating officer PC Diane Stevens said: “Several passengers in the car suffered injuries with three attending hospital for serious injuries and one is still in critical condition.
"The 30 year old driver of the car, a black BMW X6, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink and drug driving and he remains in police custody.
“As a result of collision, a gas line has been ruptured and as a precaution, the neighbouring property has been safely evacuated while engineers repair the damage.
“We continue to remain at the scene investigating the incident.
