THREE areas of the city are in the highest category on a coronavirus hotspot map.
And Public Health England’s Covid map shows the majority of the city is in the second highest category.
Areas with infection rates above 800 cases per 100,000 people are placed in the highest dark purple hotspot category on the coronavirus map.
In this category is Northwick which has an infection rate of 848.2 per 100,000 with 68 cases - the highest in the city.
Also in the category is Lyppard Grange which has an infection rate of 825.1 per 100,000 with 49 cases recorded that week and St Peters which has an infection rate of 828.6 per 100,000 with 44 cases.
Areas with infection rates between 400 and 799 cases per 100,000 people are placed in the second highest purple ‘hotspot’ category by the PHE.
In this category are:
King George’s Field, which has an infection rate of 743.8 per 100,000 with 70 cases.
Worcester Town North which has an infection rate of 559.0 per 100,000 with 46 cases.
Warndon West which has an infection rate of 590.5 per 100,000, with 32 cases that week.
Lower Wick and Bromwich Road which has an infection rate of 690.8 per 100,000, with 56 cases recorded.
Barbourne and Rainbow Hill which has an infection rate of 672.4 per 100,000, with 54 cases.
Warndon East which has an infection rate of 508.9 per 100,000, with 32 cases.
Ronkswood and Nunnery Wood with an infection rate of 755.4 per 100,000, with 49 cases.
Worcester Town South which has an infection rate of 594.7 per 100,000, with 44 cases.
Battenhall and Diglis which has an infection rate of 536.0 per 100,000, with 45 cases.
Dines Green and St John's with an infection rate of 595.2 per 100,000 with 45 cases.
Infection rates of between 200 and 399 cases are placed in the third highest blue ‘hotspot’ category on the coronavirus map.
Henwick is in this category with an infection rate of 325.1 per 100,000, and 18 cases - which is the lowest rate in the city.
