RESIDENTS are being told to stay on their guard even though fears about flooding in Worcestershire are starting to ease.
The Environment Agency said it was important people keep up-to-date with the weather and follow any advice being given as patchy rain sweeps across the county over the course of the weekend.
The River Severn between Worcester and Teweksbury remains on Flood Warning, while the River Avon is on a less serious Flood Watch.
An Agency spokeswoman said: "The flood barriers are still up in Hylton Road in Worcester and in Upton-upon-Severn.
"Teams of staff are clearing the waterways and banks of debris as it builds up to keep the water courses clear.
"To date this is a typical winter flood with flooding of low-level fields, farmland and roads - essentially the flood plains, which is what they are there to do."
She said there was some rain in the Welsh mountians last night which could have an effect on the River Severn's water levels.
She said teams are constantly monitoring the weather and river levels but added they did not expect to see any significant increases, if at all.
