A popular DJ is coming to Worcester to perform at Alexander’s Nightclub.
Norman Jay MBE is a popular British DJ who rose to prominence in the 1980s, performing at warehouse parties and hosting on radio station Kiss FM, BBC London and most recently Soho Radio.
The DJ was awarded his MBE in 2002 for his services to the music industry, playing genres such as house, dance, disco, boogie and acid jazz.
He is due to perform tonight at Alexander’s in Worcester as part of a monthly house event hosted by In My System.
Spokesman for In My System, Steve Smith, said, “Norman is a legend of the industry and has not played a venue in Worcester for about 20 years.
“We are incredibly excited to bring him to Alexander’s and we are dedicated to bringing some of the top DJ talents to the city of Worcester.
“We are all about the music welcome anyone to attend our events who shares a love the house genre.”
The promotion also hosted an event featuring American DJ, Sandy Rivera, of the popular group Kings of Tomorrow, on October 29, 2021.
Tonight’s event is also being supported by a host of local DJ’s, beginning at 21:00pm and finishing at 04:00am.
There is also a “pre bar” event happening at The Tiki Room located next door to Alexander’s bar, from 19:00 – 21:00pm.
