A PRIMARY school staff member has been nominated for an award.
Maggie Lisseman, of Great Witley CE Primary School, has been nominated for the Support Staff of the Year award at the Worcestershire Education Awards.
Her nomination came due to her tireless efforts and dedication to her school.
The hard-working staff member has worked at the school for over 25 years under four different headteachers.
She occupies a multitude of positions at the school, including teaching assistant, school cleaner, caretaker, lunchtime supervisor and more.
A usual day for Maggie starts at 7am, where she opens the school and helps with the morning duties and doesn't finish until 7pm when she finally locks up.
Maggie is also a qualified first aider and a wrap around care assistant at the school and uses her spare time to help with local Girl Guides & Brownies.
A spokesperson for the Rivers CofE Multi Academies Trust said: “Maggie Lisseman is an amazing woman who is dedicated to the school.
“She works extremely hard and always has the children at the front of her mind in everything she does.
“Since the pandemic began and the lockdowns, she has taken on board all the extra demands of every job with a smile.
“She is a much-valued member of our team that we would love to shine a light on.”
Our Worcestershire Education Awards 2022 are run in conjunction with the University of Worcester, and feature 12 individual categories.
The deadline for entries is Friday, December 17.
