A DRAMATIC police chase saw officers hot on the heels of a stolen car last night.
West Mercia Police officers chased a stolen Audi from Droitwich into Worcester in a dramatic high-speed chase.
Motorists who were in the area said they saw the car being pursued by at least four cars as it sped from Droitwich to Worcester via Fernhill Heath on November 17.
Later, officers from the West Mercia Operations Patrol Unit confirmed they had chased the car to the city, but that the occupants of the car had run away.
A tweet from the OPU Worcs Twitter account said: "Busy start to the shift for C shift OPU tonight with a stolen Audi being sighted in Droitwich.
"Vehicle failed to stop and was pursued around Worcester before occupants decamped.
"Car has been recovered with lots of forensic opportunities to locate the occupants."
