A shuttle bus will be delivering patients to a vaccine clinic in Worcester this week.

On Friday, November 12, a walk-in clinic for flu and booster jabs will take place at the KGV Community Hub in Brickfields.

The walk-in event has been organised Worcester City Primary Care Network (WCPCN), Worcester City Council and the Worcester Community Trust.

The council and trust are working in partnership to arrange a shuttle service which will take people from other community hubs in the city to the vaccination centre.

A spokesman said: “To help people get to the KGV Hub and get their jab easily we’re running a special shuttle service, picking people up from the Green Centre and the horizon, Warndon, Tolly and Ronkswood Hubs. It’s completely free but you do need to book by calling 01905 453453 (extension 113).”

Due to “extremely high demand”, WCPCN are urging people to make use of its new tracker that monitors stock levels at clinics across the area.

There are also walk-in booster clinics at SW Healthcare sites which includes St Peter’s Baptist Church, Three Counties Showground in Malvern and Artrix in Bromsgrove.

A SW Healthcare spokesman said: “We recommend patients book ahead for these venues if they can, as the walk-in sessions do get very busy and vaccines at these are subject to availability.

“If the venue patients are looking to book an appointment with isn’t listed on the booking system, it’s likely that no slots are currently bookable for that site—but we’re adding new appointments all the time, so recommend patients keep checking for updated availability.”
