TWO people were taken to hospital after a sports car was involved in a crash on a Worcester dual carriageway.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash involving two cars on Sunday afternoon (November 7).
Pictures sent in by an eyewitness showed the white Ferrari, with a racing stripe, heavily smashed up after the crash on the Hams Way section of the A440 at around 3.30pm.
There appeared to be damage to the left front side of the sports car, and the bonnet in pictures taken at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions by police for a period, while firefighters made the scene safe.
An eyewitness, who was enjoying a walk and was on the new footbridge above the dual carriageway when the crash happened, said: "I saw a Ferrari (heading from Powick) swerve across the oncoming carriageway.
"He narrowly missed one car but the second car, a white hatchback couldn’t avoid him and they collided.
"They both ended up on the grass verge.
"People stopped and got out their car to check the drivers were both OK.
"The Ferrari driver appeared stuck for a while, before he was helped into an ambulance.
"It was a scary one - I just hope everyone was alright and not seriously hurt."
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "One crew from Worcester and one from Malvern were called to a road traffic collision at 3.38pm on Sunday.
"Police, fire and ambulance all attended. No person was trapped.
"Both vehicles were made safe by fire personnel."
The spokesman said firefighters left at 4.25pm.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 3.29pm on Sunday to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on the A440 in Worcester.
"We sent one ambulance and the Midlands Air Ambulance critical care car to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found two patients at the scene.
"Both were treated for injuries not believed to be serious and conveyed to hospital for further treatment.”
