A THIEF barely cares that he has been caught on camera trying to break into the same car twice in one night.
A woman has shared the footage to warn others in Northwick to keep their cars locked and valuables out of sight after reports of a number of attempted break-ins around the area.
CCTV catches the moment the thief spots the cameras, shining his torch directly into the lens, but carries on trying to break into the car.
After being disturbed, he returns moments later and forcefully tries to prise open the car's doors which was parked on a driveway in Sabrina Avenue.
The woman, whose son owns the SEAT car, said: "He seems to be quite brazen.
"Luckily he didn’t break the glass so did not get into the car but has caused some damage to the door pillar.
"We didn’t know anything until about 9am when we went to the car in the morning, so checked CCTV.
"You can see by the times on the CCTV the first time he came, he was looking into the car, with a torch from driver's door, windscreen then the passenger's side.
"He even shone his torch at the camera, then next door's security light came on, and he fled only to come back shortly after.
"You can see from the later clip, he really puts some effort into trying to break in, but again, luckily he is disturbed."
She said after posting the footage on Facebook she was told three cars in nearby Kepax Gardens had been broken into as well as others in the area.
"It seems he was looking for cash, or anything of value.
"I want to warn others which is why I put it on the WR3 Facebook page, and a lot of people have responded saying they’ve had same thing over last few nights."
