A FREAK DIY accident left a man with two rusty nails and a four foot wooden post impaled in his leg.
Amazingly Jordan Shepherd said he felt no pain despite it taking four firefighters to help saw through the stake so he could be transported to hospital.
The 27-year-old was taking down a shed with his partner Nicole Mann in his garden in Dunclent Crescent in Kidderminster ready for Bonfire Night on Thursday afternoon (November 4).

He said: "We were disassembling an old shed and I whacked it with some force and piece came spinning out 180 degrees and went straight into my leg.
"I didn't feel anything.
"The piece of wood was long but luckily didn't go in but two rusty nails did go in.
"It looks a lot worse in the x ray and pictures than it felt - I hadn't realised how bad it was."
After calling 999, a dispatcher warned there could be a six-hour wait for an ambulance and suggested that firefighters would be able to saw through the wood so his partner could drive him to hospital.
"There were three of them holding the piece of wood while the fourth use the saw and cut it down.
"Even when they were sawing through it there wasn't any real pain, it wasn't excruciating, I just felt a bit of pressure.
"I'm really grateful because if it wasn't for them I could have been sat in the garden for six hours."
He paid tribute to his girlfriend Nicole who kept calm and made sure Jordan got the help he needed.
Doctors at Worcestershire Royal Hospital managed to remove the nail and wooden stake.
"I did want to keep the wood to throw on the bonfire but the doctor took it to a different room.
"I heard him show it to someone and the person said 'That was in someone's leg?!'
"But it didn't hurt when they removed it. The tetanus shot was more painful than when they pulled the nails out."
Family and friends have been messaging Jordan to find out how he is doing.
"I've had lots of people sending me a mixture of messages from hope you're okay to you absolute idiot.
"I guess I must be an accident prone person because I am currently off work for four weeks because I broke three bones in my foot.
"My sister said we are going to have to get a bubble ball to keep me safe."
An Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We’re very glad to hear Jordan is making a good recovery and wish him all the best.”
