Covid vaccine centres in Worcestershire are refusing walk-ins due to a technical issue.
As a result of a system fault, staff at St Peter’s Baptist Church in Worcester and The Artrix in Bromsgrove are today, Thursday November 4, having to register patients and update records by hand.
This has resulted in longer waiting times and now the decision has been made to turn away walk-in patients.
A spokesman of South Worcestershire GP Federaton said: “We apologise to anyone affected and ask that you are patient with our staff as they work to get you seen today.
“We're hopeful that our systems will be back up and running again soon, but unfortunately we will be unable to accept any further walk-in patients this afternoon.”
Appointments can still be booked ahead of time online here.
