Restaurants across the UK feature in a prestigious restaurant guide including 16 in Worcestershire.
The AA Restaurants Guide 2022 reviews are based on one or more visits by one or more hotel and restaurant inspectors who assess the taste of dishes and if they live up to the expectation that the menu gives.
The guide details the restaurant’s name, location and contact information along with its website and rosette count.
Depending how each restaurant performs according to the inspectors determines how many rosettes are awarded to the restaurant. They can earn up to 5 rosettes.
Worcestershire restaurants that earned the highest AA honours in the area
Here’s a list of the Worcestershire restaurants that scored the highest in their group with 3 rosettes.
The Back Garden, Broadway - 3 rosettes
Location: Dormy House Hotel, Willersey Hill, WR12 7LF
A lot of the veg grown in the garden is used for dishes in the kitchen and can be seen through the big windows that overlook the walled garden. In the guide, the interior is described as “elegant, contemporary design scheme is worthy of an interiors magazine, with its use of calming greys, blues and honey yellows.”
MO, Broadway - 3 rosettes
Location: Dormy House Hotel, Willersey Hill, WR12 7LF
MO is “an intimate and interactive dining experience that takes place around a marble-topped counter in a cosy space with a pineapple-themed decor,” according to the guide.
You can expect dishes such as charcoal-grilled prawns with a rich bisque and lemon curd. Or maybe you’d prefer the tender monkfish with black curry sauce.
Brockencote Hall Country House Hotel, Chaddesley Corbett - 3 rosettes
Location: DY10 4PY
Brockencote has 70 acres of gardens and parkland which overlooks its lake. The guide tells us “the place has been made over with a light touch that blends original features with a sprinkle of contemporary pizzazz.”
You can expect Tim Jenkins to serve “precisely executed modern dishes” including pan-fried scallops that comes with pickled quince as well as chestnut velouté.
