A 27-year-old has admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm after a change of heart.
Stephen Wakelin appeared before Recorder Martin Butterworth at Worcester Crown Court on Monday.
He initially denied the domestic assault, described as 'strangulation with a child present', but changed his plea to guilty later the same day following the incident on September 28 this year.
The case was adjourned until Monday, November 8 to allow time for a victim impact statement to be prepared to assist the sentencing judge. No pre-sentence report was requested from probation.
The defendant of Ruckhall Lane, Hereford, was remanded in custody.
