A WOMAN says she is being "pestered" by a parking company over a fine for parking in her space and has vowed she will go all the way to court if necessary.

Laura Armstrong has been fighting the ticket for parking in her designated space in Diglis apartments ever since it was issued in July.

We reported on Laura being given the ticket in August when she told us it was given to her after her permit accidentally slipped off her dashboard.

Now the 32-year-old says Trace Debt Solutions, acting on behalf of Parking Control Management (PCM) which issued the ticket, has been constantly contacting her for an "urgent" response despite stressing she won't pay a penny.

"It was a £100 charge, but has gone up to £160 now," Laura, who works in marketing, said.

"The £60 is apparently 'admin fees'. It seems ridiculous to me.

"PCM passed all my details to Trace Debt Solutions who’ve been regularly sending me letters, emails and texts demanding payment.

"I ignored them, but they have been pestering me. I messaged back to say 'stop contacting me' - they just ignored that.

"Their last few messages have said ‘legal action now pending’. I imagine I’ll be hearing from the solicitors soon. But it is just dragging on, it is frustrating.

"I don't know how it (a court case) would go, but after the Worcester News story I had people contact me from across the country telling me to stand my ground as they had won.

"When you get the moments of feeling scared, I remember that. I'm not giving up."

Laura said the key to her case was there was no mention of any need for permits in any lease agreements at Waterside apartments that she signed.

Laura added she had heard judges had thrown out similar cases and hoped the same thing would happen with hers, if it reaches court.

We contacted PCM, both in July and this week, for comment - but have never received a response.

We also contacted Trace Debt Solutions, but no one responded before our deadline.

In February 2019 we reported on a similar issue, in which Tom Dennison was fined for parking his car in his designated space in Diglis by PCM, after he also said his permit accidentally slid down off the dashboard.
