A DARING rescue saw one firefighter abseil down a rocky cliff to rescue a man who was clinging to a rockface.
The climber had become stranded on the Malvern Hills prompting a complex night-time cliff rescue.
A picture Tweeted on the Droitwich fire station account showed one of the rescue team abseiling down a rocky cliff to rescue a man who was clinging on to the rockface.
Another member of the crew had set up a spotlight at the base of the cliff so that crews could spot the marooned man.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Male climber stuck 20 metres up on a cliff, rescued by line rescue teams from Malvern and Worcester.
"Crews descended to casualty from cliff top and lowered him to ground level."
The rescue took place at Westminster Bank, Malvern, at 6.31pm on October 15.
