A BURST water pipe has caused the closure of a road near to the city centre this afternoon (Wednesday).
Chestnut Street in the Arboretum is currently closed while engineers from Severn Trent Water work to fix the burst water pipe.
Worcestershire County Council has the work scheduled to finish at 4pm on Friday on its One.Network map.
A Severn Trent Water spokesman said: “We’re sorry to customers on Chestnut Street who’ve been affected by a burst water pipe.
"We’ve got teams on site, working hard to repair the pipe and return everything back to normal as quickly as possible.
"A temporary road closure has been put in place while we’re working in the area, to keep our engineers and other road users safe.
"We’re really grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding and again, we’re sorry for any inconvenience this is causing.”
