BRENDAN Kelly has left his role as Bromsgrove Sporting manager.
In a statement via the club's website, it was confirmed Kelly had left his post after discussions with the chairman, vice chairman and directors.
Kelly, who has been a player, assistant manager and manager during his six years, leaves alongside his current assistant Ian King.
On Twitter Kelly said he was "devastated" to be leaving his job.
He wrote: "I am devastated that my journey at Sporting has come to an end.
"I have been a player, assistant manager and manager during my six years here and have loved every minute of it.
"I wish I was given more time but I totally understand it is a results-based thing and ours haven't been good enough."
In his statement, Kelly thanked all his assistants and club staff for their help, as well as the players and fans for their effort and support.
Kelly's departure comes with Sporting having lost their last five matches, including a heavy 4-0 at home against Peterborough Sports.
Similar heavy defeats include 4-1 away at Rushall and 5-0 at home against Grimsby.
Club chairman Mike Burke said: “The board of directors would like to thank Brendan for all his hard work and efforts, originally taking charge of the club at a critical time and achieving the promotions to get the club where it is today – a task made even harder due to the disruption of COVID.
“We sincerely wish Brendan and Ian all the best for the future.”
