A man who was killed in a series of stabbings near Tewkesbury has been named as a 'loving husband and a father to three gorgeous young children'.
43-year-old Matthew Boorman was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics and others who helped.
A touching tribute released by Gloucestershire Police on behalf of his family, read: "Matthew was a loving husband and a father to three gorgeous young children who all love him and miss him tremendously.
"He was an uncle, a brother and a son. It broke our hearts to lose him too soon."
Police received multiple calls about a man with a knife injuring people in the Snowdonia Road and Arlington Road area just after 5.20pm on Tuesday (October 5).
Gloucestershire Police say a man in his 50s has been arrested and remains in police custody. Investigating officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with the attacks.
Inquiries are still ongoing as to exactly what happened during the incident.
Another man and a woman were also attacked alongside Mr Boorman - the man remains in Bristol's Southmead Hospital after sustaining serious stab wounds.
The woman, who was stabbed in the leg, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
Detective Inspector Ben Lavender, from the Brunel Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "Our investigation is in the early stages and we're working hard to establish what has happened.
"We're in the process of speaking to numerous witnesses and those who helped at the scene of this serious incident.
