1. Insert mothballs into the holes. They can't bear the smell and will hopefully find a home further away.
2. Use a sonic device (available in garden centres) to deter them, but you will need to move it regularly as it only works for a limited distance.
3. Place holly leaves or other prickly leaves such as berberis down the run to make it uncomfortable for the moles.

2. Look for perennials on sale in garden centres which may have finished flowering but will be fine in years to come.
