1. Insert mothballs into the holes. They can't bear the smell and will hopefully find a home further away.

2. Use a sonic device (available in garden centres) to deter them, but you will need to move it regularly as it only works for a limited distance.

3. Place holly leaves or other prickly leaves such as berberis down the run to make it uncomfortable for the moles.
