WORCESTER still has shortages of petrol at the pumps despite problems reportedly easing elsewhere in the country, and the Army now being deployed to help deliver petrol to forecourts.

There were still issues at all the city petrol stations we visited on Monday morning.

The government's map showing the worst affected areas in the country using a traffic light system has had the West Midlands, in the 'red' category over the weekend.

And despite ministers insisting the situation at the pumps, which has seen queues and panic buying in the past 10 days, is easing - the government's Operation Escalin launched on Monday.

Texaco - Droitwich Road - No fuel, was hoping for a delivery on Monday afternoon

BP - Whittington Road - No fuel. Staff said a delivery came in at the weekend but sold out quickly, and they are unsure when the next delivery will be.
