A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Evesham.
A man in his 30s was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch after receiving a single stab wound to his abdomen on Sunday.
He has since been transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham where he remains in a stable condition.
Detectives have launched an investigation following what they called 'a serious incident' in Bridge Street, Evesham, at around 12.45am of Sunday.
A 42-year-old man from Evesham was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody while the investigation continues.
A police cordon was in place all day Sunday outside the entrance to Abbey Park on Bridge Street.
