Hundreds of cars were in attendance for the final Wheels on Wednesday event of the season.

Wheels on Wednesday hosted their final meet-up of the season at Spetchley Park today and over 550 cars showed up.

The huge turnout came as a surprise even to the organisers with many late bookings the result of a fortuitous change in the weather forecast.

Organiser Robin Webb said: “We we’re expecting 250 cars with the forecast looking very iffy. In fact I loaded my car this morning at 7am in pouring rain.

“But it turned into glorious blue skies and suddenly we were inundated.

“A brilliant end to this season amongst the beautiful Spetchley parkland.

“A big thank you to the Berkeley family for hosting us this season and to all the wonderful cars and owners.”
