THERE was a new record broken last weekend at Broadway Golf Club.
94-year-old Bob Matthews, former captain of Broadway GC back in 1993, produced a hole-in-one on the 8th hole during the annual Past Captains Match between Broadway GC and Stratford-upon-Avon GC.
The magnificent achievement means he has become the oldest Broadway Member to achieve this feat.
Matthews, who now has two hole-in-ones recorded, still manages to play at least two or three times a week and has a very respectable Handicap Index of 24.5.
