A FOOTBALL match ended in a trip to hospital for a Worcester teenager last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Pershore Town Football Club at 9.05pm after two players clashed heads during the Midland Floodlit Youth League match.
A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to the ground in King George's Way, Pershore.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "A match was being played against Bromyard Town. When the two players collided it left one of the Bromyard side with a head injury.
"Crews were told that the 16-year-old had been knocked out briefly."
The teenager was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution and for assessment and treatment.
