Dinosaurs, circus clowns, giant inflatables, and, of course, music delighted the thousands of festival-goers at this year’s Sunshine Festival.
With generally good weather the sell-out crowd certainly seem to have enjoyed themselves at the three-day event which took place over the bank holiday weekend.
“Had the best time!!! Nice to finally have some proper normality,” said Jade Merry.
Lorraine Houchin said: “Absolutely brilliant weekend! Huge thanks to everyone involved in the organisation, it was faultless.”
Another Facebook user, Memi Ladek, said: “Loved every minute of it. It was an amazing weekend
And first-timer Kerstin Lloyd-Adams said: Brilliant time to listen to live music at our first sunshine festival camping experience.
The event, which was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, was held in Upton upon Severn which offers a stunning backdrop of the Malvern Hills, made even better by the beautiful summer sunsets.
Set across five stages, this year’s main stage line-up boasted James Blunt, Wet Wet Wet and Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet fame.
Meanwhile at the Weston’s Stage one resident from Droitwich, Helen Ward, was lucky enough to join Barry from EastEnders on stage for a duet!
Also performing on the Weston’s Stage were the likes of Blind Lemon, The Country Chix, Neon Creatures and Come Together and for festival-goer Paul Hart, the latter were “fantastic as always”.
Meanwhile, at the Cocktail Stage, the friends of DJ Russkins were in attendance for his set on Sunday night.
At the Sunflower and Variety stages there were tribute acts to the likes of Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Buddy Holly and Lionel Richie.
The festival prides itself on being a family-friendly affair and this year was no different with entertainment for all ages.
The UK’s biggest inflatable land and pony treks joined Jurassic Earth, the Disney stage show and a circus to keep the whole family entertained across the weekend.
Claire Lauren-Cooper said: “Felicity aged four loved the dinosaurs! Really great addition this year.”
