Thousands of people receiving Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) benefits will receive their payments early this month.
HMRC announced the altered payment dates for Child Benefit and Tax Credits, and the DWP has since followed suit, with those receiving Universal Credit, State Pension, and disability benefits also due for an early arrival of their funds.
The changes are a result of the August bank holiday on Monday 30, which means that payments will be made on Friday 27, the last working day before the annual August shutdown.
The DWP said in a statement, "To make sure people receive their payments on a day when Jobcentre Plus offices are open, arrangements have been made to make some payments early.
"If the expected payment date is Monday 30 August benefits will be paid on Friday 27 August."
All Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines across the UK will also be closed on Monday 30.
The change in dates will affect anyone due to receive any benefit payments on:
Saturday, August 28 - will be paid on Friday, August 27
Sunday, August 29 - will be paid on Friday, August 27
Monday, August 30 - will be paid on Friday, August 27

Further guidance from the DWP states: "If the expected payment date is not shown [on the list], customers will get their money on their usual payment date."
When will the money go into my account?
Funds will likely go into your account just after midnight, although this does depend on who you're banking with.
Some banks may make the payment around 11.30pm, so that people can withdraw their benefits before midnight on benefits day.
