Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have once again hit out at the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex believe the royal family did not take accountability for the concerns raised in their Oprah Winfrey interview, an unauthorised biography of the couple has claimed.
In March last year, the couple made a series of explosive claims in an interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey which grabbled global attention.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a series of claims, accusing an unnamed royal of racism, suggesting the family were jealous of Meghan and revealing that she contemplated taking her own life while pregnant.
Prince Harry also revealed the full extent of his fractured relationship with his father Prince Charles.
Buckingham Palace later said the Queen was “saddened” to hear about Harry and Meghan’s struggles but added “some recollections may vary” over the other allegations.
Now, Meghan,40, and Harry, 36, have reignited their feud with the Royal Family reportedly taking aim at the Queen’s response to the interview with threw ‘the firm’ into chaos.
In an epilogue for Finding Freedom, published by People magazine, unnamed sources close to the couple suggested the Sussexes felt the Queen’s comment showed the monarchy had not taken full accountability for the concerns expressed in the interview.
It said: “The Queen’s ‘recollections may vary’ comment ‘did not go unnoticed’ by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken. ‘Months later and little accountability has been taken’, a pal of Meghan added. ‘How can you move forward with that?'”
Meghand and Harry's statement on Afghanistan
It comes as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have issued a statement describing an “exceptionally fragile” world.
The statement relates to a number of ongoing issues around the world including the Taliban’s takeover over Afghanistan, the Haiti earthquake and the ongoing global coronavirus health crisis.
Since stepping back as senior royals the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in the US.
The couple explained how they are left “speechless” and “heartbroken” by what is going on in the world and urged people to put their “values into action”.
The couple then urged people to support charity organisations doing work around the world.
