THIS weekend sees the start of The Worcester Festival, one of the first big events in city since the pandemic.

Throughout Saturday there will be performances from Sauce City Jazz Band and Worcester Ukulele Club in Worcester High Street. Look out for Percy the Peacock dancing and posing for photographs with the bands!

Have you ever fancied your chances of climbing Mount Everest? Well, the Worcester Festival isn’t bringing the mountain to Worcester, but in Cathedral Square on Saturday there will be a climbing wall ready for you to take on!

All Sorts of Performing Arts school are hosting several workshops on Saturday for your little ones to try everything from Street and Cheer dance to Musical Theatre!

Worcester Snoezelen is hosting Snoezey Fest from 12 noon a multi-sensory festival with performances showcasing the creative talent of people with disabilities and additional needs that the charity support.

The left-handed team at Aunty Ems Tea and Toy Emporium are hosting a left-handed day, celebrating being left-handed and giving left-handed people the chance to try new products and to give children some help with being left-handed.

On Sunday, The Worcester Festival, in conjunction with the Black Pear Joggers is staging a 2k fun run and 5k run starting from Diglis Playing Fields.

If you are more into live music, market stalls and competitions then pop over to Pitchcroft for The Worcester Show.

Be sure to bring the children too as there is a special Kids zone with activities such as bungee trampolines, inflatable slide, and bouncy castles.

After all that walking and exploring you might need a cup of tea and some cake, then don’t forget to pop into Cripplegate Park for the pop-up café that will be open between 1pm and 4pm.
