AS many as 1,455 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the county in the last week according to the latest figures.
Public Health England said the number of cases recorded in the week up to August 5 dropped only by two per cent compared to the previous week.
Covid cases also fell by just two per cent in Worcester where 260 cases were recorded in total in the same week.
The number of new cases recorded in Malvern Hills increased by five per cent in the same week to 105.
A total of 300 cases were recorded across Wychavon, which includes Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich, where the number of new cases fell by almost nine per cent.
The number of cases recorded in Redditch increased by 12 per cent in the week to 250.
In Bromsgrove, cases fell by three per cent in the week to 290 and cases also fell in Wyre Forest by seven per cent to 250.
Latest figures show one person died from Covid in Worcestershire in the week up to July 30 – bringing the total number of people in the county who have died with Covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate to 1,366.
As of August 3, a total of 43 people were in the county’s hospitals with Covid including three people who were using a ventilator.
More than 75 per cent of the county has now been vaccinated according to the latest figures with 382,239 people receiving both Covid jabs.
The same figures show 438,540 people in Worcestershire have now received one jab – around 86 per cent of the eligible population.
