1. Globe Modern Bistro
Starting off with some fine dining, this contemporary bistro offers both European and British dishes with a contemporary twist.
Described by TripAdvisor as a "family run bistro nestled amongst the Tudor beams of Friar Street", the Globe Bistro offers "wholesome" food that certainly seems to have hit the spot with its customers.
The bistro boasts a clean sweep of five-star reviews for food, value and service, with 208 of 227 reviews rating their experience as 'excellent'.
In fact, out of all the reviews it has received, just one rated the Globe Modern Bistro below 'very good'.
One diner wrote: "We weren't hurried in any way - no moving you on to allow for the next booking, and that was on a Friday night.
"And they were really sensible around Covid too. We have recently moved to the area and already know we'll be going back here a lot."
2. Friar Street Kitchen
If you fancy something a little greasier, then this street food sensation and fellow Friar Street resident may be more up your street.
Boasting a range of options including vegetarian and vegan dishes, this independent restaurant offers a range of locally sourced steaks, burgers and cheeses that are sure to please all the family.
Yet again, the ratings speak for themselves, with 295 of 351 people dubbing their experience 'excellent'.
One reveller said: "The rave reviews we’re heard did not disappoint. The food was incredible, service was brilliant and thoroughly had a lovely evening.
"Glad to have found a new place to eat out at that's independent and deserving of people's custom."
3. Thai on 7evern
If you're wanting to celebrate with some more exotic flavours, then Thai on 7evern have got you covered.
A recipient of TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice award, this spot offers Thai and Asian food for a reasonable price.
The business has received just 20 of 353 reviews under 'very good', with few foodies left disappointed.
One review read: "Absolutely love this place. The food is incredible, particularly the fish, Thai curry, and coconut rice.
"The staff are also so lovely and welcoming every time I go. Prices are very good, and the portions are a good size. Best place for Thai in Worcester."
4. Burger Shop
If your kids are a little fussier with their food, then a good burger is always a safe bet, and this fast-food joint can guarantee you just that.
Located under the Arches on Cherry Tree Walk, the Burger Shop champions local produce and claims to deliver "consistently delicious burgers".
Another recipient of TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice award, this restaurant has a whopping 198 'excellent' reviews of a possible 263.
One customer said: "I am not your usual burger person, but these were really good quality - generous, tasty and several interesting optional extras - kimchi being one we tried.
"I loved the outdoor seating area - raised above street level and with generous, tall, planting which provided screening without being a complete block - delightful!"
5. Hickory's Smokehouse Worcester
Last on the list but perhaps the quirkiest of the bunch is this homage to America's finest smoky flavours.
A family-friendly restaurant, this smokehouse even offers a mini-cinema room and a ping pong table to keep everyone entertained while they wait for their food.
Yet another on the list that has received TripAdvisor's Traveller's Choice Award, diners have also voted Hickory's Smokehouse as the best of 9 American restaurants in Worcester.
One person said: "The servers were really friendly and chatty throughout our entire visit.
"The food we ordered was AMAZING, really really tasty, generous portions and fairly priced for the quality of the food!"
