PARENTS of children at a village school have praised the education they receive.
Cutnall Green CE First School's latest Ofsted inspection says: "Most parents are delighted that their children enjoy coming to this good school.
"One parent spoke for many by saying, I would recommend this school to anyone'."
The school, near Droitwich, has been judged as good' by government inspectors in seven areas of the inspection, and satisfactory' in one area - that of the curriculum and other activities.
Headteacher Susan Rudd said: "Happy children, good teaching and parental support are three important components if pupils are to succeed at school and we were delighted that all three were recognised and praised in our recent Ofsted report.
"Our dedicated staff have the academic achievement and personal development of each and every pupil at the heart of everything we do and we are looking forward to taking the school from strength to strength and having lots of fun on the way."
The inspectors said children make good progress throughout the school, leading to above-average standards by the time pupils leave at the end of year 4.
They said: "The new headteacher is working well with other members of staff and governors to make the school even better.
"There are suitable plans to analyse information on pupils' progress more thoroughly to ensure that all pupils learn quickly." The inspectors said the school has high attendance rates and praised the children for their commitment.
"Pupils are justifiably proud of their school and the way it enables them to become responsible young citizens," their report said.
"Their good attitudes contribute well to the good progress made in most lessons.
"Pupils are hardworking and enthusiastic and their thorough enjoyment of school is evident in their good attendance." The quality of teaching and the methods used at the school was also highlighted in the report.
The inspectors wrote: "Teachers use resources such as interactive whiteboards well to engage and motivate pupils. Interesting work helps to ensure that pupils are keen to do their best."
The report concludes: "Throughout the school, teaching assistants provide valuable support for groups of pupils, including those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities."
The report found that a few parents had raised concerns about homework and the inspectors agree that the provision for homework varied and was not consistently good in all classes.
The inspectors also advised that the school should improve the curriculum so that pupils did not repeat topics and had more opportunities to improve their numeracy skills.
