DEAR Editor – For many years my wife and I have attended the race meetings at the racecourse on Pitchcroft.
We are senior members and have always enjoyed the fact that we park our car on what is termed as the picnic area.
Understandably with the onset of the Covid restrictions the course was closed to spectators.
Now that it has reopened, the area we have used for many years is no longer in use, spectators are only allowed into what they term as the County Stand, the price of which is £25 per person – that is double the price that we used to pay in the centre course.
I have asked for an explanation and also asked when the picnic area parking will be back.
To date no one that I have contacted has been prepared to give me an answer.
