MISS Worcester has spoken about her friendship with one of the Big Brother contestants.

Jodi Edwards, 18, spent two weeks last month travelling around Taiwan with Jade Eden - currently competing for a £50,000 prize in Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.

"She's a lovely girl," said Jodi, who was crowned Miss Worcester last May and came fourth in Miss England.

"We were both in Miss England in June but I didn't really get to know her very well because there were so many girls. Then we were both picked to represent England in Taiwan. We toured the country and shared a room for two weeks. She's a lot of fun and doesn't stop dancing. I think she'll do well.

"She's very competitive but not necessarily when she's outside the competition. It comes across in a good way."

Jade has been a member of MENSA since she was four.

The 21-year-old won a scholarship to a school for gifted children and recently graduated from the Urdang Academy, London, where she was also awarded a scholarship for Professional Musical Theatre.

Jodi, of Fernhill Heath, Worcester, said she is rooting for her friend to win the reality show, being screened on E4 for the next three weeks.

Jade is up against 11 other housemates, including a Mobo-nominated singer-songwriter and the chairman of the Scottish Youth Parliament. In a twist to previous programmes, various celebrities are acting as Big Brother, telling the housemates what to do and setting them tasks.
