The chef of SUGO Italian on The Tything will be cheering on his homeland this Sunday as they face England in the Euro 2020 final.
Alex Tumminelli has lived in Worcester for just four months having spent the first 20 years of his life in Calabria, southern Italy, before moving to Birmingham nine years ago.
This is the second time since moving to England that Mr Tumminelli will watch his birth country against England, the first coming in the 2014 World Cup group stage fixture.
He said: “I will support Italy forever, but I will not lie to you England is my second home. I’ve lived here since I was 20 so my heart will be split in two.”
On how he plans to spend the night he added: “I will watch the game with a friend at home. I’m sure it will be a great match and I want to enjoy it properly, drinking a beer.
“I haven't felt any tension. I know that we will joke and laugh together before and after the match.
“If Italy win it will be great news for our country, hopefully give us a push to start again after this long year. It’s coming Rome!"
