VANDALS caused more than £100,000 worth of damage after a forklift truck was driven into buildings and set alight.
The attack happened at the Cartref construction site in Worcester Road, Drakes Broughton, near Pershore, between 4pm on Wednesday and 8am yesterday.
Those responsible drove the truck into two new warehouses on the site, damaging walls and smashing windows, before setting it on fire.
A police spokeswoman said: "This attack - which caused high value damage - would almost certainly have been heard and maybe seen by someone due to the nature in which the damage was caused.
"This incident could have easily resulted in injuries to the offenders and people arriving onto the site the following morning.
"Luckily this did not happen but we would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have any information on this incident as soon as possible."
Anyone with information should call police on 08457 444888, quoting 69/S/030108, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
