TWO good samaritans helped a man when he was being assaulted in Tenbury Wells.
The men helped the male victim in the early hours of New Year's Day and police want to find them so they can be formally recognised for what they did.
A police spokesman said: "Two men pulled the lone male attacker off the victim and prevented him from inflicting further injury.
"The two good samaritans really went out of their way to help someone in need and we would like to be able to formally recognise their public-spiritedness."
The incident happened in Cross Street between 1.30am and 2am and is believed to have occurred after the attacker accused the victim of staring at him at a near-by New Year's Eve party.
The good samaritans and anyone else who saw anything of the incident are being urged to contact police on 08457 444888, quoting 759S/010108.
