GOK WAN

RECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: "January is about looking back in the mirror, taking all your clothes off and re-assessing where your body is. There's no point dressing a frame we think we've got. Our bodies change every year. Clear out the old to bring in the new, and be ruthless. Give yourself a goal, for every three pieces you throw out, treat yourself to something new."

MUST-HAVE 2008 PRODUCT: "Buy a waist-cinching belt. The hourglass shape is making a massive comeback and it's all about the silhouette. Drag in that waist and all your clothes will work around it."

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "I want new hair and I'm going to change my entire look for next season as I've done the whole indie boy thing for about two years. Now I'm thinking either Italian mob or tailoring, I'm not too sure yet! It will probably cost a fortune!"

COLEEN MCLOUGHLIN RECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: "To turn around your style for 2008, try something totally different whether it's adding colour, wearing prints, or just buying some great bold jewellery. You don't have to spend a fortune to update your wardrobe."

MUST-HAVE 2008 PRODUCT: "A classic handbag is a must-have item. It's something to invest in as it lasts forever. You can change your clothes size and wear out your shoes but you will always have your handbag."

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "I'm going to be wearing the romantic floaty dresses and feminine chiffon shirts that will set the scene for next season. There is a real Forties theme coming through, which is very ladylike but also shows off the figure with nipped-in waists and fuller skirts."

ANGELA BUTTOLPHRECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: "Spring is going to be very colourful and quite girly. There's a real Fifties prom feel, which probably fits in with the return of Carrie Bradshaw to the big screen for the Sex And The City movie. All the big designers like Prada, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and YSL were showing big prom skirts, tiny waists and gathered skirts. It's very ladylike and worn with stretchy tops, almost like an Eighties body, to stop it looking too retro."

MUST-HAVE 2008 PRODUCT: "Coloured tights - the cheapest and coolest accessory this season. The hottest colours right now are bright pink, purple or aqua blue."

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "I'm feeling a pull back to brilliant classic styles, like searching for the perfect trench coat or the best cut of mannish wool trousers - something less transient."

BRENDAN COURTNEYRECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: "If you go into any shop right now, any shape can get a great dress. The rebirth of the dress is a really exciting development, so embrace it. Don't be afraid to get your legs out - I know it's winter, so wear tights! Femininity is really being explored at the moment and the dress is a great way to feel womanly without looking too blousey or floral."

MUST-HAVE 2008 PRODUCT: "Women should invest in a good double-breasted donkey jacket or military jacket. Worn with a skirt it can look really smart or worn with jeans it's more casual, so it's a versatile piece."

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "I want to get myself out of skinny jeans and into wide-legged trousers. I actually wore a pair recently and love the way they flap a bit in the wind!"

LOUISE ROERECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: "Wear colour! Too many women stick to safe grey, black and brown. Just because it's winter outside doesn't mean you can't do colour. My best tip would be to buy a really bright overcoat, like red, blue or orange, because that's the first thing that people see when you walk into a room."

MUST-HAVE 2008 PRODUCT: "A baggy beanie hat - go for sparkly or cashmere. This season's take on the beanie is baggier on the head with a little bit of a Rasta influence. It's a very cool Sienna-style look and a real rescue if you're having a bad hair day."

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION: "I'm going to wear heels more. I'm always naughty and put my comfortable ballet pumps on but I can easily carry around my flats in my handbag, so there's no excuse for neglecting my heels!"
