A MAN has been fined and given a community order after admitting stealing fragrance.
Daniel Gurney stole Hugo Boss fragrance to the value of £35 belonging to Superdrug at Malvern Retail Park, Malvern in November.
On the same day, he stole a Daisy Dream fragrance bottle to the value of £59 at Boots in Malvern Retail Park.
Gurney, 36, of Deacle Place, Evesham, pleaded guilty to both charges at Worcester Magistrates’ Court.
He was given a community order and must be under a curfew for 12 weeks with electronic monitoring.
And as part of a rehabilitation activity requirement, he must comply with any instructions by an officer to attend appointments or to participate in any activity as required up to a maximum of 10 days.
Gurney was also ordered to pay compensation of £35 for the Hugo Boss fragrance, a victim surcharge of £95 and to pay costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
He also has to pay compensation of £59 for the Daisy Dream fragrance bottle.
Meanwhile, a man has been banned from the roads for a year for drug driving.
Zeeshan Chohan was caught driving under the influence of drugs on Warriors Way in Worcester in November.
He was found to have Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood which exceeded the specific limit.
Chohan, 24, of Westminster Road, Handsworth, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worcester Magistrates’ Court.
He was banned from driving for 12 months, fined £240, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £135 to the Crown Prosecution Service with his driving record endorsed.
