IT is nearly time for the Worcestershire Health & Social Care Awards.
Run by Newsquest’s Worcestershire titles the awards will be celebrating those teams and individuals that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to care for people during the Covid pandemic.
The awards ceremony will be live streamed on the Worcester News' Facebook site tomorrow evening, (May 27), from 7pm.
It runs for about an hour, and you don’t need to have a Facebook profile/account to watch.
The awards ceremony will feature a number of celebrities including Birds of a Feather's Lesley Joseph, The Royle Family's Ricky Tomlinson and Eastenders' Jake Wood. Also set to appear are stage performer Debbie McGee and rugby and TV star Matt Dawson.
And the event is being hosted by Good Morning Britain's Dr Hilary Jones.
Award categories being contested on the night include Health Care Team, Care Hero, Care Home Worker, Domiciliary Home Worker, Good Nurse, Care Trainer, Child and Adolescent Health, Dementia Carer, Palliative/End of Life, Mental Health, Health Care Employer and GP Practice of the Year.
