A NEW bar has grabbed the attention of readers.
Tortugas Worcester is promising a taste of the Caribbean with authentic Caribbean food and rum based tiki cocktails and classics, and has certainly created a buzz after we reported on it opening earlier this week.
The co-owners behind the new bar, in Friar Street, are chef Everton Lawson, Abbie Latham and Connor Mazzocchi, and they said they were going for a unique look.
Abbie said: "This is the dream. We have both been bartenders in Worcester for a long time and we have always wanted our own, so we decided let's do it."
Connor added: "We took over the lease in December, and has been a lot of hard work."
The bar enjoyed a soft opening, to friends, family and local businesses on Monday night, opening to the public on Tuesday.
