A MURDER sentence is due to take place today while a city man is up for multiple thefts including stealing large quantities of meat from shops across Worcester.

The sentence of Adam Carpenter, Faisal Fiaz and Mohammed Hussain for the murder of Colton Bryan in Redditch is due to take place this morning at Worcester Crown Court.

The 22-year-old was attacked in his flat in Guinness Close, Redditch, in July last year, and died at the scene from stab wounds.

During the trial it was revealed the stabbing involved a large hunting knife nine inches long.

The court also heard Mohammed Hammed Hussain, the brother of Mohammed Saddam Hussain, left the country, boarding the first available flight to Pakistan after the stabbing.

Meanwhile, Jacob Telford, aged 21, of Maple Avenue, Worcester, faces a total of seven shop thefts worth hundreds of pounds and is due to appear today at the city's magistrates court.

The thefts he is accused of include one at Co-op on July 2 last year (meat worth £80 to £90), another at a Co-op on July 30 last year (£100 of meat).

Telford is charged with targeting the Co-op again on September 14 last year, stealing meat of value unknown and of stealing steak to the value of £85 from Lower Wick Filling Station, Malvern Road, Worcester on October 10 last year.

Further charges include a theft of joints of meat worth £148 belonging to Spar Stores Ltd on October 16, the theft of meat worth £71 from Lower Wick filling station in Malvern Road, Worcester on October 16 and the theft of washing powers and liquids worth £48 belonging to Spar Stores Ltd on November 8 last year.

Christopher Stych, 53, of Bridge Street, Worcester, is charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place on February 16 next year.

Shaun White, 28, of Spetchley Road, Worcester is charged with being an adult attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child on October 11 last year and attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15

to watch / look at an image of sexual activity on November 23 and 26 last year.

Carl Bainbridge, 35, of Shap Drive, Worcester, is due in for criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 (a window) at the Fownes Hotel in Worcester on February 2 this year.
