Douglas Garrad

Died peacefully at home, aged 95, on 3rd March 2021. Devoted husband of Mary Ann, father, grandfather, great grandfather and founder of Hawford Lodge school. A small, private funeral will be held at St Andrew's Church Ombersley, on Friday 19th March at 11.00am. Covid has restricted the funeral numbers, but the funeral will be streamed and all are welcome to attend virtually. Colin Howard Jones

Former deputy headmaster of Elgar High School Sadly passed away on February 22nd, 2021, aged 81 years. Dearly loved by Wife Marion, Sons Tim and Ben and their Families, he will be greatly missed by all Family and Friends and be forever in our thoughts. His resilience, courage and good humour were an inspiration to us all, especially as his health worsened in recent years. Due to the current restrictions a private Service will take place at The Vale Crematorium, Fladbury.

Peter (Pete) Descher

Passed away peacefully at home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved Husband of Sue, Cherished Dad of Amanda and Sarah and a Devoted Pops to Ayla and Erin. Also a much loved Brother to Steve. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service will take place at Worcester Crematorium on Tuesday 23rd March 2021. Margaret Winifred Renney

Passed away at Cheltenham General Hospital, on November 25th 2020, aged 81 years. Formerly Chairman of the West Midlands' and the Severn Vale branches of the European Union of Women, and membership Secretary of the Worcestershire branch of the English Speaking Union. She was also an active member of the Friends of Worcester Cathedral and the Three Choirs fundraising committee, Head of Music at Wells House Prep School and music and piano teacher at various other Malvern Schools. For many years she was a member of the Hereford Choral Society, then the Worcester Festival Choral Society and a member of Great Malvern Priory Choir. Loving Wife to the late John, Mother to David, Paul and Joyce and much treasured Grandmother. Funeral Service was held at Great Malvern Priory in December 2020. Enquiries to F. W. Jayne Ventura

Died peacefully at St Richards Hospice, on 22nd February 2021, after a long illness, aged 63 years. Reunited with her adored husband Antonio. Dearly loved mother of Luke. Much loved, sister, aunt, daughter in law and sister in law. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will take place, on Thursday 18th March 2021, at St Martins Church, London Road and will be followed by interment at Astwood Cemetery. Loving husband to Sue and wonderful father to Adam and Calvin sadly passed away on the 27th February. Phil will be fondly remembered for his contribution to amateur football across Worcestershire.
