A DOCTORS surgery is in the running for a Worcestershire Health and Social Care Award.
Pershore Medical Practice has been highlighted by readers as deserving recognition in the inaugural awards run by the Worcester News and sister titles.
Reader Michael Ruff was one of those that nominated the surgery, based in Queen Elizabeth Drive, for GP Practice of the Year, writing that staff were “always helpful, polite and caring, and professional.
“I'm always able to get an appointment or call back from GP or a nurse."
After being told of the nomination, Jackie Evans, practice manager, said she and staff were thrilled by the news.
"That’s very nice to hear, after a very tough year,” the manager said. “We have all been working really hard, and we really do appreciate it.”
