WORCESTER Steak & Grill House “will continue and be unaffected” despite the city centre venue being placed up for sale.
Birmingham-based chartered surveyors James Baker, specialists in the leisure industry, has the entire Corn Market venue on the market for a guide price of £395,000, albeit with the caveat of three-and-a-half years left to run on the current lease.
Worcester Steak & Grill House launched less than eight months ago with business owner Nick Smith investing approximately £100,000 on refurbishing the venue that used to be Francesca’s bar.

The Covid-19 lockdown enabled that work to go ahead and bookings are already being taken for live music nights planned for May when the government has targeted relaxing restrictions enough for indoor hospitality to open.
Mr Smith confirmed “the business will continue and be unaffected” but declined to comment further.
The property is being sold as a freehold – meaning the buyer would own it outright, including the land it is built on – with potential rent yield listed in the advert.
It also states “the fixtures and fittings are in the ownership of the tenant” but that the building boasts “two bar areas with surplus of 80 covers” and “a large commercial kitchen” as part of a ground floor covering 2,670 square feet.
The venue opened as Francesca's in November 2019 and was previously called the Maltster, Bar 12 and the Slug and Lettuce.
The advert and contact details for the agent selling the property can be found here.
