A THUG who assaulted a police officer, racially abused another and flashed his genitals with the intent of 'causing alarm or distress' has been handed a community order.
Ian Oldham, 47, from Littleworth Walk in Evesham was found guilty of five separate offences when he appeared at Worcestershire Magistrates' Court on Monday February 8.
The court heard on April 9 2020 Oldham assaulted PC Matthew Beards whislt he was trying to perform his duties as an emergency worker in Evesham.
Later that day Oldham racially abused and threatened PC Dominic Hall in Worcester with intent to cause 'harassment, alarm or distress.'
For the above charges Oldham was given a 21 week curfew, monitored with an electronic tag and is required to take part in rehabilitation activity.
Oldham was also charged with three further offences that took place in Evesham on May 27 2020.
He was found guilty of assaulting a Mr Matthew Lewis by beating, intentionally exposing his genitals intending for someone to see them and be caused stress or alarm and using threatening and abusive words or behaviour.
Oldham was ordered to pay £50 compensation, a victim surcharge of £95 and £775 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
His total fines amounted to £920.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old Droitwich woman has been disqualified after refusing to provide a breath specimen when pulled over in Worcester on December 19 2020.
Felicity Gandy of Worcester Road in Droitwich plead guilty to the offence and was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a total of £619.
She was fined £440, ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge and £135 in court costs.
