WORK is nearly complete on 128 new homes near Worcester, with just one house remaining on the market.

Bellway West Midlands is building the new homes at Cherry Orchard off Ombersley Road, and the site includes a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties with 41 marked as affordable housing.

Marie Richards, sales director for Bellway West Midlands, said: “After four years of building on site, construction is due to complete at Cherry Orchard in February, a development which has delivered a superb selection of high-quality homes in the picturesque location of Bevere.

“Cherry Orchard’s location offers both beauty and convenience.

“The development is just a short 10-minute drive from Worcester city centre, and is close to several well-regarded schools, including Claines CE Primary School, making it a popular choice for families.

“The three-storey Ilmington has been carefully designed to provide space and privacy to growing families.

“The new home is also well equipped and features integrated kitchen appliances, including a double oven, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer.

“I would encourage any buyers interested in this final property at Cherry Orchard to contact our sales team to find out more.”

Work first started on the site back in 2017, with detailed plans being approved by Wychavon District Council in June 2015.

As part of their planning permission, Bellway has had to provide more than £1.4million towards local services and infrastructure.

This includes more than £420,000 to Worcester Transport Strategy, £305,000 for education and £130,000 for sports facilities nearby.

The final new home available at Cherry Orchard is the five-bedroom Ilmington detached house.

Priced at £507,519, this three-storey property features an open-plan kitchen, dining and family room, a separate living room and a utility room on the ground floor.

All five bedrooms are doubles, two of which have en suite facilities, and there are two separate shower rooms.

The master bedroom also benefits from fitted wardrobes.

Other contributions include funding for bus services, walking and cycling routes, highways improvements, public art, recycling and public open space maintenance.
